    This was really a spectacular release. All the R&D and Devs should be commended. USD/Solaris was a release within itself, but the Modelling/Sim improvements are substantial on their own as well.

    The sheer amount of features in the Houdini platform is staggering, and the future looks very bright.

    I agree with Daryl, as a developer myself, I can imagine the hard work, planning and focus needed behind the scenes forgiving birth to such a relevant release

    Solaris + flip book, if that works at all. then quicker rough renders would be great. I much excited about vellum, pyro and rbd. Of course the other updates are solid!! Kudos to the team for a wonderful work

    Houdini is super power! This is a completely different level of 3D. Among other things, it’s very cool to work with characters, rig and animation in conjunction with nodes and well-thought-out interface of Houdini is powerful. Why are there such difficulties with exporting rigging to other programs such as Maya? I think if there was a way to do rigging in Houdini and collaborate with animators working in Maya, many artists would choose Houdini to work with character animation. But the developers themselves know about it, probably it is not so easy to do
