Veteran character VFX artist Andy Boyd sits down with fellow JAMM artists Brian Burke and Zak DiMaria to chat about their latest work featuring a new addition to the Kia Hamster family.

JAMM used Houdini's latest Fur & Grooming toolset on a full CG baby hamster named Turbo to run through a hospital at full speed - knocking things down along the way, and even trampling through a bowl of flour - creating a cloud that leaves residual flour that gradually comes off as he keeps running. Later he jumps off a building and uses a blanket parachute (created with Houdini cloth) to drop to the ground...safe and sound (sorry for the spoiler!).

Refreshing to see they only use Mantra, but a shame they have to model in Maya.
