Rigging a Gsplat Wasp in APEX
Film/TV

This is an example of how to rig a Gsplat using the autorig builder.

We will start off by preparing the Gsplat getting it ready for the rig. Then we set up a skeleton and go through the process of setting up a cage to capture the Gsplat points using the biharmonic capture node.

The rig is then set up using the autorig builder and we set up a icon in cops to use as the background image of our newly created config control group.

Finaly we set up a turntable camera and animate the wasp.

Hey, the wasp splat isn't included? The rig looks really cool but without the model is difficult to break it down and learn from it

Hi, the model has been embedded in the file. You can simply save it out as a ply if you want :)
I on purpose stashed it way at the beginning so you can see the whole process.
