I have created a vector filed and would like to move the vertices of a mesh along those vector field ( just along the paths which are created by the trail sop ). Is there a node/tool for this purpose ? Or shall I use the points from the trail sop ? Whats the best way to go for this effect ?

In a vop sop, sample the vector field (volume sample node )and move P with a displace along normal node.

I guess the trail sop node does this with little steps to follow the vector flow, which is what I want to do too .. ?
Does the volume Sample node interpolate the vector field ?

Ahh sorry you mean advection. You can do it with a sop solver.

lol Alejandro was faster than me, but anyway, I set up a file quickly, you can check it out just to compare solutions, I'm not sure what Alejandro did in his file

best,
