Why only 5% CPU usage on rigid body sim?

The subject says it all.

I have a sphere fractured in various ways colliding with a plane. I am using the bullet solver.

I'm wondering why only 5% of my CPU is being used?

I'm feeling the sim should be faster?

Any ideas?
