Hi. A while back I was wondering how to extract turntable platter animation channels from a MIDI-enabled Denon SC3900 Media Turntable in CHOPs. I have solved the problem (The secret was to put a checkmark in the “Unwrap” parameter of the MIDI-In Chop.. at least if it's not in that Chop it's in the Record Chop, one or the other.. not looking at the file right now.)

feedback is welcome if anyone is interested in this type of thing or taking it further. Unfortunately I have heard that the turntable has been discontinued by the manufacturer. But that is not to say that another similar piece of technology won't be produced. I think this avenue has great potential.

Software used: Houdini FX 13 and Adobe Flash Pro CS6. Audio recorded in Native Instruments Maschine MK1 and Ableton Live 8.2
