Hi all,
How can I select objects without dragging them accidentally with move tool enabled? This does not happen with scale or rotate tool.
Thanks!

Yes but with a wacom tablet or similar is easy to click and drag.
The problem is if I select with select tool ‘S’ and switch to Move tool, the gizmo is not maitained on screen and then I have to click on the object.
In blender, for example, if you select and drag you don't exit drag function. So is easy to click another time on rmb to cancel move action.
Thanks

Hi McNistor,
As you can see with the move tool when clicking on the object you can drag it without wanting to.
Since I want to select and move without accidentally moving objects on the scene, I'm looking to disable that feature.
Also, the selection made with Select tool is not maintained when switching to transform tools, this is specially important when working with shortcuts.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

are you using a tablet?
what OS/graphics card are you using?
I'm on linux with a mouse and when I select an object and hold my mouse button down, there is a short pause before the object is selected - so with a mouse it's easy to select and not move the object.
also when I use the select tool and select an object then switch to one of the other tools the selection in maintained.

Thanks arctor,
I'm on w7 with an amd card with the latest drivers.
Here I don't notice any delay, is there any option to run viewport on software? Just for testing.
I had this problems with tablets (selecting objects) on the past with 3dmax. This is why I'm currently working with a mouse. I want to switch another time to the tablet but as I'm getting this selecting behaviour I haven't tried with it yet.
Thanks
