Just looking at the FEM solver in 15
I get nice results on a 1x1x1m cube from the shelf but I'm wanting to do some fx that are more of the scale of 1-2 cm cubes.
Im having some issues getting similar results when scaling down the geo. Anyone know how to sort this out?

There are two things to be aware of when you go to a much smaller scale:
1. there tends to be a lot more rapid movement and deformation, relative to the scale of the objects themselves.
2. objects tend to look stiffer, recovering their overall shape after impact more quickly.
1 may require you to use more substeps in your simulation. For example, you may need to go from a Min Substeps of 1 to a Min Substeps of 10.
2 is only a problem if you still want to have the more sluggish look of a larger object. In that case, you could to dial down the Stiffness parameters on the Solid Object.
Alternatively, if you really like the way your object behaves at the 1x1x1m cube scale, you may simply crank up the gravity force, to get the impression of a smaller object.
