Hi

I've just started learning Houdini. Using it on a 5k Retina iMac but the UI was still too small even when using High DPI mode.

I've discovered the HOUDINI_UISCALE env variable which I've set =200 (probably too high, but its a welcome respite from the eye strain) and that works on almost all of the UI elements, except for some of the toolbar icons (eg the Toolbox on the left and display options on the right, and in the various panels). These are still tiny.

Is there another variable to scale these last bits of the interface?

Hi!

I had same issue, and what in found that best thing to do is just switches off HDPI mode.

HOUDINI_ENABLE_RETINA = 0

The manual has all the information so I will point you to search for environment variables but here you have another interesting reference to keep as a bookmark

http://odforce.net/wiki/doku.php?id=customizinghoudini [odforce.net]

hope it helps
