Hi!

I am trying to set up HQueue on Centos7 machine. While installer appear a to be whole lot friendlier since the last time I installed HQ it is giving me whole bunch of funny errors.

It kindly offers to set up as shared folder but while doing so it comes up with following error despite nfs-utils being installed:

ERROR: Could not find the NFS daemon.
Make sure that nfs-utils or an equivalent package is installed.
Exiting installer…
Error: Could not install HQueue.

So I went and shared folder manually, ran installer again, this time selecting option 2 (use existing share). This time however it refused to complete the install, prompting following error:

Installing HQueue Client files…
tar (child): /home/user/Downloads/houdini-15.5.673-linux_x86_64_gcc4.8/python2.7.tar.gz: Cannot open: Permission denied
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
ERROR: Could not install Python distribution.
Error: Could not install HQueue.

Help please…

Howdy,

I've just run into this problem myself and I think it's because I had the files in /root. I moved them to a temporary folder in /

Hope that helps

I've met the same problem and I moved the whole install dictionary to a /tmp. It solved.(my operations are CentOS and Oracle)
