Hey,
Merry Christmas to all.
I'm looking at rendering a few images out and wondering what the main difference is or advantage of using the stereo camera versus the vr camera? Am I able to view both in the viewport for preview?
What glasses would I need to view either image?
Thanks!
Stereo or VR

Stereo camera rig is for normal “planar” 3D images, which you can view on a 3D display. the VR camera rig is for doing VR images (360 degrees or other projection types), it also has a stereo option.
So you have the following options.
1) 2D planar image (most images)
2) 3D planar images (think 3D movies in cinema)
3) 2D VR images (these images are rendered in a way so they display properly in VR headset)
4) 3D VR iamges (same as above but is also 3D, I think thatmost VR headset support stereo view)
