here using C4D and Houdini and looking for the best balance processor for both of them. I discard dual xeon because of the price and because I would be using just one slow core for cinema 4D.
With an i7 8700K delided and overclocked I could get about 5.1 Ghz, what would be great for C4D… and six cores 5.1GHz for Houdini.
With th i9 7900X would have 1 core 4.5 for cinema4D, and the 10 cores for Houdini.
I dont mind about rendering as it would be GPU rendering.
What is your opinion about that?
Somebody has some experience with this processors and could give some advice, recomendation, some frustration or joy to share?
And last question: When ussing just the Houdini Engine running under C4D, is that just a one core process all running under C4D? Or will be the H. Engine ussing the rest of the cores?
