I'm trying to make a "tumbleweed generator". Something like this:

I feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I know those polymodeling tools (PolyExtrude/PolySlice/PolyBevel etc). But obviously they're not very useful for something like this. I'd imagine I need a lot of curves, but that's all I know.

Where are you going to start with this kind of task? If there is a tutorial on this I'm willing to pay.

One of a million ways. Every frame will generate a new variant, you'd probably wanna drive it through tops.

Wow, a million thanks! It's way easier than I expected.
