Hi , when working in a tight space and many nodes, most of the time when moving the node around, i run into problem when i accidentally activate the autoconnect . This is very annoying but i don't want to disable it , in some case it will be usefull but is there any way i can turn this off temporarily ? i mean like some modifier key to press to disable this feature until i release the key. Or any other trick ?

For those who needs, in newer version toggle it with Ctrl+8 (Tools/Allow Dropping Nodes On Wires)
