I'm not sure if its intentional, the documentation says very little about the node mtlxstandard_surface_to_UsdPreview, cause it turns the shader solid white as soon as I plug it in my usdpreviewsurface
I've copied the setup in the documentation, i'm not sure if it's by design it doesn't support displaying in houdini GL in solaris, I wonder what else it should be for.
I just want the ability to see my triplanar textures in the GL - thought that connecting the texture and triplanar into a mtlx and then into a usd preview would be the answer
mtlxstandard_surface_to_UsdPreview not displaying in GL

I just wanna add that it's a problem for very very specific cases, cause the materialX displays well in the GL, however sometimes it doesn't, I've encountered bugs when I use opacity maps in my shaders for example, so in those cases just having a USD shader at hand is very nice - so for now I guess it's just easier to avoid using opacity map parameters in combination with triplanar
