How do you make a proper Fur Cloth/Coat Simulation?

Is there a way to have a hair simulation work on top of a cloth simulation? (like a Fur)

If I create a sphere and then give it a vellum balloon properties(from the menu or with a balloon config node) and then add fur to it (from the menu). The hair does deform along with the mesh but it does not have its own physics.

If I do add the Simulate Guides node( from the menu), all the hair particles just seem to start glitching out immediately.

Please let me know if there is any tutorial out there regarding this.
