Feature Request/Gripe: Snapshot Viewer / Render Gallery slid

Every time I open the Snapshot Viewer (Render Gallery), the comparison slider defaults to the middle or the left side of the timeline. Since new snapshots always get added to the right, this means every single time I want to compare my latest renders, I have to manually drag the slider all the way over to the right first.

It's a small thing, but it adds up to a genuinely annoying bit of friction on a tool that's supposed to make quick visual comparison easy. Comparing renders should be one click, not "open gallery, drag slider, then actually compare."

Suggestion: default the slider position to the most recently added snapshot(s) when the gallery is opened, or at least remember the last slider position between sessions.

Anyone else run into this? Is there a hidden preference for this I'm missing, or is this just how it's always behaved? Would love if this got fixed in a future build.

We have an open RFE to improve this. Further complicating this is that we move active renders (e.g., Live Render) to the left edge of the strip, in an attempt to highlight them, but I appreciate it makes the situation you're reporting even more awkward.
