HDA changes: how do other artists get the updates?

Hi!

I'm working on an HDA that an other artist is currently testing. I just made a change and saved it (Save Node Type). What does the other artist have to do to get the last update? He doesn't have "Match Current Definition" when he right-clicks the HDA.

it's common for houdini to pick up the otl changes automatically, especially if the user is interacting with the node or do stuff like bypass/unbypass, so in theory they can just continue working and the node should break, I mean update, at some point

to force it they can do Assets/Refresh Asset Libaries

usually it's a good practice to do updates on a bumped up minor version number or a dev branch and when you want them to test/use it they can version up or switch to that version, that can avoid broken scenes and other issues like renders changing/breaking mid sequence etc
