Not to dog pile but I'm starting to run into some quirks with X11 on Pop OS 22.04 (its basically ubuntu). So I'm adding a +1 for Wayland. Pop OS is so much better than Windows though. Zero crashes in COPs on 22.0.429. Windows crashed constantly, especially when screen recording. But without wayland screen recording is still really really bad/choppy.

What quirks are you running into? I am on a new install of Linux Mint 22.3, with the 615.71.09 Nvidia drivers, and have been rock solid. I don't use Karma though, I use another hydra-delegate. I can see if I get these quirks if you want to do some testing, since we are on similiar distros?

I am also on PopOS! 22.04 here but mostly smooth.
Is it specifically with screen recording?
