yes, some good points here. we miss the switch logic that works in shops. also - i'd love to be able to switch between materials. this whole part of houdini is interesting - but really needs some production based refinements.

Regarding the multiple displacements, how about using the layer sop with a multi_displace vop. Here's an example that has 3 displacements, a base then two decal displacements in different areas. With an overall clay shader.
