primitive normals always visible after render region

Not sure if this is a bug or not …

When I exit from the Render Region tool (let's say clicking on Select tool), I get primitive normals displayed on my object in the viewport. And I can't get rid of them!

I've looked in the Display Options but they're not turned on. They will turn off if I go to another tool like Move and select the object. But the minute I stop using that tool, the normals return. If I save/quit/reload they're gone.

Am I missing something really obvious? Thanks in advance.

Same prob here. Really annoying if you have many polys. And I get them as soon as I unselect all.

Hi LFX,

Not sure what version you're using but this is probably due to a display option. Type ‘d’ in the viewport, uncheck “Follow Selection Mask” and see if the problem still exists. Also, does hitting Esc get rid of the primitive normals?

If unchecking “Follow Selection Mask” works for you, you should do a “Save As Default” in the display option.

Cheers!
