Saving texture uv's to image isnt working, for me at least

I right click on the uvpelt sop and “save uv texture to image”, tried .jpg and .bmp
but the image showes up black and has the houdini watermark. aside form the seagull tutorial, i tried it on a simple box surface. same thing.

any ideas?

Hi,
It works fine here. RMB on the uv project > save texture uv to image > make sure the name of your file has an extension. ie mytexture.jpeg

tried your even simpler file, no luck. I will try it on a different computer, and get back with the result.

my system is old, 1.4gh celeron, quadrofx 1000, 512ram

The “Save UV Texture to Image” option uses wren to generate the image, so you can try rendering something using the wren output driver to make sure that wren works on the computer in question.
