How 'bout some more info, like: are you on Windows, Mac or Linux? 32bit or 64bit?

Hi

I'm on mac intel 8core, running 32bit i think, maybe not though. It is the "Mach-o-lib plug ins from real flow. I am learing both apps at the same time so my brain is melting.

Thanks

No problem. If you're on Mac you're running 64bit.

Unfortunately I haven't worked on the Mac version so I won't be able to help, maybe someone else will chime in.

Thanks anyway.

Put the .dylib files (SOP_RF_Import.dylib & SOP_RF_Export.dylib) into your $HOME/houdini9.5/dso directory. That's it.

If you use mesh for realflow, try to use obj insted of BIN file
in export tab change from BIN to OBJ
and you will have a OBJ Seqeuance for RF

If you do that, you lose a lot of useful attributes from Real Flow that can be used in Houdini (not to mention the size of the OBJ files are much larger). The particle and mesh importers for Houdini are stable, (the SD file format still has 2 lingering bugs that are to be fixed next) so you shouldn't have any problems getting the data back into Houdini.

i-550, i was just on the realflow site, and i do not see any macintosh RF to houdini plugins listed. win, redhat, and something else… FP i think. anyway, i did go to sourceforge and DL from there, but the code appears to want to compile for win.

anyway, where did you get macintosh reaflow to houdini plugins? i'd love to try them out.

cheers!
