hi .everybody.

because i am accustomed to control camera in 3dsmax, so,In houidini .i want to observe camera's trajectory and can select camera keys to move it in scene view just like in 3dsmax.
but this way seemly not suit for houdini .

Although i looked for all help document of houdini , I am still puzzled how to manage camera animiation ,because the efficiency is too low.

i wonder about how you guys manipulate camera when animate it.

thanks

Hiya flyingc,

3dsmax trajectories are neat. I don't know the exact equivalent in Houdini but this thread discusses how to make something follow a curve:

http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?showtopic=7752 [forums.odforce.net]

You can install the last file through File>Install Digital Asset Library amd then find it through the usual tab>something in your geometry context.

To see where your camera has been you could emit particles from it although I admit it's a bit silly.

Perhaps somebody knows a better solution.

Here's a solution for you, using a Trail sop.
The tricky part is getting the world/object level transforms into sop space. The best way to do that is with a chop network.
The nice thing about this setup is that you can now package this up as a generic digital asset you put on your custom toolshelf and use when you want.
