hello i am very new to houdini and i have a question. when i create a render node then hit start render, it takes multiple trials to get it to work , and the majority of the time it doesn't even render !! does anyone know why ? if so please explain in a lot of detail. thanks alot

First of all, welcome to the forums! It would help greatly if you post more details about the Houdini version, OS & graphics card you're using.

If you're using Windows Vista, please search the forum for HOUDINI_DISABLE_CONSOLE and read through the threads.
