played with the program a bit as wanted to see how it worked with some of the models I have saved in OBJ format and found that while it imported them i could not break it up into texture groups and that for the most parts is a deal breaker as far as paying for the program i have a large library of models I have made over the years in that format.
Just writing to see if I am missing something.

OK sorry it took a while not seeing what is an SOP. I only get the entire mesh I have not seen a single way that is breaks up.
Breaks up ? I thought you want to apply a texture to a group. Why don't you post up a scene file with a small imported obj model of what you are trying to do.
