when I installed Houdini Apprentice Edition, right before the install finished a dialog box came up saying Integer Division by zero error. and when i try to start any of the programs I get a no licince server error. but when I open licencse admin It says I have a valid licence and the server is running?

I'm running it on WinXP pro SP1 and trying to run H5.5.151

I did not get this licence automaticly I whent to the website to get it.
The error says “License ErrorUnable to connect to hserver for license acquision”

Hi,

Please start the License Administrator, go to File -> “Change License Server…” & check the “Use Standalone Mode” button.

You might have to wait a short while before you can click OK.

Once done, start Houdini

Please let me know how it goes.

doing this requiered me to reboot so here is the excat error that came up“

trying to open houdini still results in a error

Hi,

Please go to the Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.

In the Services dialog window, please look for Houdini License Client & if it's not started, please right-click on it & select Start.

Also, please note the “Startup Type” value. If it's “Manual”, please right-click & select Properties. In the Properties dialog, please change the “Startup Type” to “Automatic”.

It is set to start automaticly,but is not currently running, and when I start it again manualy it still crashes giving the error

I have already tried twice both times resulted in the integer div by zero error right before the install finished.
I downloaded it again, reinstalled and still had the same problem.

I am logged in as a privialged user. And the install finishes fine it's just that hserver keeps crashing
I think the issue is something with my other software. I have recently installed a new version of the .NET Framework. Does hserver interact with that at all?
