Hello, I'm trying to move an object into world space 0, perform actions to it and move it back to the original position and rotation. Now, translating it is easy enough, but is there a way of finding the objects orientation (without the original transform data) and rotating it to face along an axis? I just cannot think of how I would manage it.
Thanks in advance,
Ed

Hello, I'm trying to follow a tutorial on plural-sight about architectural destruction and have come up to a road-block with some constraints. I have quadruple checked that I did everything right and as far as I am aware all the data should be there to create the constraints (no errors appear either).
I was wondering if anyone else can take a look at my script and spot the issue or if there have been some changes I don't understand between 16 and 16.5, because I'm stumped.
Thanks in Advance.

Houdini Learning Materials » 'render visibilty' of an alembic for render

Hello, I'm quite new to Houdini and I've been trying to work out how to turn an alembic object in the render to only occlude the light in the render. I know in a normal obj you can switch it the render tab, but how would I go about doing it to an alembic as I can't seem to find out. The geo I need to switch off is animated from Maya, so I can't just import an .obj
Cheers
