Hi.
My vdb volume look so flat without shade as below which makes me cannot see what happen inside.
I want to make it look like this. (From tutorial)
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm trying to make pleats material(as you can see under) with displacement in redshift.
I want to make it procedurally without a uv map.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Technical Discussion » When dopnet startframe changes, the geometry does not show

Hi everyone.
Here’s what I want :
1. A circle scales from 0.2 to 1 (until frame 72)
2. When scaling is end, vellum cloth dopnet works with pop wind after frame 72.
I changed startframe of dopnet
But the problem is :
the geometry does not show before frame 72.
You can see the images below.
1) Before frame 72. There's nothing.
2) After frame 72, now you can see dopnet works.

Hi
What I want to get is :
1) If the frame is 10 (condition)
2) Select points at the edge which should be at the top not the buttom.
As you can see below (red circles)
+
I have to apply this on complex model such as dress.
Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone.
I was looking for a way to save animation with mp4 format with redshift in houdini.
Thanks in advance.

Technical Discussion » Abstract blooming flower (maybe with vdb)

I was trying to make a abstract blooming flower and found out a great reference from Media.Work Studio
Link : https://www.behance.net/gallery/106170441/Research-Digital-Biology/modules/609218923 [www.behance.net]
To realize this, I was researching throught the days and found out that I could make a volume grow with combination of vdb and solver,
but these are the things that I'm not sure..
1. How to make it grow with a specific shape? I mean not growing them with normal direction but another shape(like flower) as GIF do.
2. How to make multiple instacnes to not overlap each other? I'm assuming they used vellum but I'm not sure how to apply those with vdb..
Any other advices would welcome (not only with vdb)
Thanks in advance.
