I found the solution:
1) Right click on Houdini application
2)Select Properties
3)Select the Compatibility Tab
4)Select “Change high DPI settings”
5)Towards the bottom check the “High DPI scaling override” box and select “System” in the pull down menu
6) Click OK and Apply and run the application and it should be fixed.

I am having this same problem and haven't been able to find a solution. Bumping to see if anyone has figured out a solution to this yet or not.

Curious if anyone has had this problem before? I have contacted Side FX about this a couple times and the best answer I could get was to use Qt4 builds up until now I guess they aren't making Qt4 builds for H17 and I am really wanting to test it out. I've tried changing the UI size with the preferences and inside the houdini.env file and have tried refreshing my preferences completely and haven't found any luck or answer as to why this occurs.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Technical Discussion » Freezing noise displacement

Hi, I am trying to freeze some geometry that is using noise displacement and texture displacement to export for use for animation in another program but only my texture displacement is showing up in GL and not the noise - which will only show in render view.
Is there a way around this? To be able to freeze geometry that has noise and texture displacement applied to it? I am using the classic shader.
Thanks.
