Here is the thing:
I have an object, it's cutted into pieces and I'm defining it as cloth, so far so good, the simulation is running pretty well and I like the effect, now in the Geometry node for that object I create a group called “inside” and in the DOP network I'm trying to limit the “Finite Element Solver” to that group so whne the geometry comes into that group it starts being simulated but if it's not it won't be simulated.
The problem I've found is that the “Cloth Object” node is not importing groups from the geometry, I created also an Attribute wich it's value is “1” id the points are inside that group and is “0” in case they are not but I'm a bit lost on how can I use that Attribute to do what I want.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers.

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » POPVOP affecting outside defined group... why?

Thanks for the idea, how can I check that?
I ask because there is no list to select points, primitives, etc…
But anyways, the wrangler is working because if I check the spreadsheet in the “POP Steer Seek” the group “seek”is marked as 0 in each point inside the group “seeking”
Is weird because in the “POP VOP” I apply a turbulent noise but I also add a bit of velocity to Y, so the particles raises up, and that addition is working correctly, it's activated while in the group “seek” and it's not affecting while in the group “seeking”, so it seems it's related to the Turbulent Noise because it keeps working even when the points don't belong to the designed group…
Cheers.

Hi there.
I have a pop net, inside I define a group of particles, “seek”, and I apply to them a “Pop Vop” to apply a noise to their velocity, the effect is the one I'm looking for, but then I put thos particles in a different group “seeking”, and with a “POP Wrangle” I remove the points inside the group “seeking” from the group “seek”, after that there is a POP Steer Seek to make the particles go after a shape, and it works except the “Turbulent Noise” inside the “POP VOP” is still affecting the particles, even when the “POP VOP” should be affecting just the group “seek”.
I'm a bit desperate to understand this, some ideas please?
I tried also to detect inside the “POP VOP” if the particles are inside the group “seek” but I can't find a way to do that.
Thanks in advance!
P.D.: I posted the same question at OD Force, just in case you find this familiar, but no answers at the moment.

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Popnet new context - PopProperty where is Attractor Point?

Hi there.
I'm following an old tutorial from Peter Quint, and I'm doing it with the new Popnet context, there are several things that I'm having to figure out or ask becuase I can't find any place in the documentation where it talks about this.
Now I have to use a Pop Property node to set the Attractor Point property, but such property does not exists in the new Pop Property.
How can I create such property? I can't find a way, also once created, will Pop Attract (the new context version) use it?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers.

I kind of solved it with a expression but I think it's a pretty bad solution:
“if($FF <= 30,$FF,if($FF <= 60,$FF-30,if($FF <= 90,$FF-60,if($FF <= 120,$FF-90,$FF-120))))”
basically what I do is to use an IF expression, and then in the false statement I repeate the same expression changing values, that until the frame I want, but if for example I want to repeat the 30 frames cycle 1000 times could be crazy.
Some idea on how to do it better?
Cheers!

That is the question, I have a walking character, and I want to loop it, the ABC file has the base loop, 24 frames of animation, and I want to make this loop as an infinite loop, so no matter if the scene is 240 or 500 frames, it will continue walking.
I don't care if I have to specify the number of loops I want or the final frame I need, but how can I loop it?
Cheers and thanks in advance!
