I think the problem is, that you are doing an OR condition (which is always true in your case) when it should be AND. You should try {parm != 0 parm != 3}

Have you tried to render it. in my experience those little display artifacts just go away in the render.

It's just like normal remote network rendering.
mantra -H host1,host2
It's important to not have spaces in between the hostnames and the commas.
It's certainly useful but I found that it has problems with refreshing automatically.

You could also simply start the “console” app that's in the Utilities folder. There you can filter your output for “houdini” or “mantra”.

I also did a different type of microphone a while back where I had to model this criss-cross pattern. The solution isn't the nicest and it only works, because the middle part of my round mic is hidden in the final model, but it might give you some ideas how to start.

here's a really quick attempt. Still needs work to give you the roundness at the top and bottom, but it's a start.

Hey Jason,
I have tested your scene and come up with the same results. I would guess it has something to do with the attenuation that's present in lights only and not in geometry. But I have no idea how to fix this easily.
