Houdini Engine for Maya » Hair/Fur into Maya as Alembic question

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but for future reference, besides selecting "Use SOP Geometry" in Houdini, you need to create a redshift curve set in Maya. I suspect that was what was confusing some people - you can't just render the curves in Maya without that.

Actually I think I just figured it out! I had my dopimport set to transform geometry rather than “Fetch Packed Geometry.”

Hello,
I'm fairly new to Houdini and, after searching, haven't been able to find anything about this issue I'm having -
If I cache a dop animation I'm working on everything works perfectly, but when I output the animation with the rop geometry sop it appears as if the fractured geometry is sticking together.
I've attached some screenshots, any ideas?
