I guess I could and just use that to manually find the view and up vectors, which is what my application needs. I was just wondering if there was a way houdini could give those vectors to me.

Hi,
I'm working on exporting some information from houdini with a python script. I was just curious if there is an easy way to get the vector that makes up the view direction of the camera and the up vector of the camera.
Thank you

I can't seem to add CV's to a curve. The online documentation says just to press shift + LMB, but nothing is happening. Do I need to be in a particular mode? I'm running Houdini on Linux and I know that sometimes the key commands are a little bit different from other OSs.

Hey,
I've been working on this pyro sim and I noticed that my fire was stopping when it reached the bounds of the “lowrespyro” box. Wasn't surprised by that.
From what I could find out, I thought the way to fix this was to change the size of they pyro node in my AutoDop network. Even though the size of the lowrespyro box increased, the visualization of the fire was still stopping at the same place. The data is there, it's just not rendering.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Is there something else I should be doing instead?

hmm… I got that to work just fine in your examples, however when I try to do it in my set up, it still only creates fuel on the first frame. The effect I'm really going for is using one object to set fire to another. My idea for this was to have an object start emitting fuel as it passed through a fire. If you have any better suggestions on how to do this, I would be open to them.
Otherwise I would be very grateful if you could look at my set up and help me figure out what I am doing wrong.
Thanks!

Thanks man, one more question, how do I get the object to keep pumping fuel into the system?

Hello,
Can any one help me figure out how to create an optional fuel object for the pyro solver. I can't seem to figure it out. I've watched the pyrofx master class but he doesn't really explain how he built it.
I'm using Houdini Master Version 11.
Thanks

Hi, I'm working with the pyro fx in Houdini and the image renders fine in the render view. However the fire does not render when I try to output my renders. Frames are produced, just the fire and smoke are not visible.
I'm using the same mantra node for render view and for my batch render. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Justin
