Hi ,
I have made a bunch of cylinders using copy soap . Now i want to give each copy a different texture with the stamp function . Need help please . Is it possible to align (in the center of each cylinder) a different geometry per cylinder ?

Hi ,
The new version H11 introduces new light types for architectural and other purposes (GI , sky light …) , but existing ready to use materials (found in H10) are gone , like glass , metal , water … I don't understand why?
I have tried to put a shiny metal shader in the new “mantra shader builder material ” but i got weird things . Is it possible to post these shaders as an OTL for time saving ?

Hi ,
I have posted few topics on that forum , and i have seen too many . Sometimes i am in front of answers related to sesi like “ i hope that sesi will work on that or see that , this is a sesi job………..” On google there's no official site of sesi or a wiki page of sesi . So when the forum members are talking about sesi , who they are referring to . And what's sesi is doing with sidefx . I have never seen a post or a sesi message . Sorry to be so curious but it sounds like a secret organisation .

Hi ,
How to to suporpose maps with transparency (alpha channel) on top of each others and mix them together using displacement/bump properties (or link a displacement vex) . I used the vex super material and vex layered surface but without success . i just get lost in the shop/vex network .

Hi ,
I can't render textures when using network rendering , I tried many tests like mapping all the drives containing textures and hip , sharing all the drives , and rendering from other PCs . The results are the same , only the master PC shows a part of textures while the others not . The image looks like a mosaique . Hserver is running and the verbose shows that all PCs are working .

4 PCs P4 with XP 32

Yes it works . I guess that material nodes are good for preset materials included with houdini 9.x . While shader nodes are more flexibles .

As far as i know shader sops were replaced by material nodes . Is it an old fashion way to go back to the deprected solutions when someone got stuck ? Anyways thanks for your help i will try and see .

Yes i got the zdepth channel in the mplay , but it's just a black and white image exactely like the alpha channel . Here are the iamges and and source hip file .

I converted the Pz to float , but in nuke i got no changes except the fact that i had 3 Pz channels . The results in compositing are the same . I made a test in fusion too and nothing special .
