Hey, I got the copy to polygons instead of points solved (with divide and compute dual) but now I need to scale my copies relatively to the poly.. area.. bbox.. oriented.. argh

Oh, I got it. Exchanged the lighting model with the surface model and exposed the Ensure face forward. Man I like this!

Actually, how would I use this in a larger context - or expand on i. If I wanna use the surfacemodel in the VEX Builder instead - or in combination - to get more options.. If you don't mind - This would be really nice to have as a switch on the Mantra Surface, btw.

Hey list, how can I achieve the equivalent to Arnolds Backlight with Mantra? I am trying to create a simple (fast) paper shader that'll work on single sided geometry.

Just chiming in straight from Softimage. I didn't see any reason to keep my subscription with AD.
I've been on bootcamp couple of years back and has maintained some level of operability with a Houdini Apprentice version. I just received my FX license and I'm already doing my first job and installing my Arnold License today.
So you'll be hearing more from me!
I'm also a Cinema4d user so latest news about HE is just amazing.

Nice! Very c++. But it just reverts to 0 in lenght after 30 frames.
I found an other solution: clamp.
clamp(($F-20)*0.1,0,1)

Hey, I got a simple expression on the lenght of a polyextrude So it's linked to time:
if($F>20,($F-20)*0.1,0)
works fine.
Thing is I wanna make it stop when it reaches frame 30. I've tried if($F>20<30,($F-20)*0.1,0) and other combinations but nothing gives the desired result.
I tried clamping as well with no luck. any ideas?

Hey All.
Just came back from Bootcamp in Santa Monica. Great week and great software.
Ok. I'm totally green with Houdini so I'm trying to remake some easy projects I did in the past.
First of is the Domino effect.
I've set up a domino piece with an animation of it falling over
copy stamped it along Z with a timeshift node
this works beatifully for a non Dynamic solution.
Now I want to do it along a curve.
I made a simple nurbs curve
resampled it so I got some even spaced points
copy the domino onto the curve
HOW to align the dominoes along the spline?
