This looks great! Can anyone confirm compatibility with H16? I'm not able to get it to work as it errors saying it cannot read the output .bgeo. No output .bgeo gets generated so I'm sure that has something to do with it.
Thanks for any input getting this working. Looks really nice.

All I did was delete the paintNode and replace it. Working now! Super, super weird. Thanks for the reply. I'll post here if the problem actually didn't get taken care of.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't think this has anything to do with UVs now.. The parts unintentionally being painted are no where near each other on the UVs. Is this a bug you figure?

Hey all. Having some slight issues with painting in Houdini. I'm only a few weeks into Houdini so pretty new, but regardless I can't find a solution to this sort of simple issue.
How do I turn off painting through the mesh? Wires or not wires painting seems to paint through half the time. Shift+V doesn't do anything in this context.
Secondly. How can I turn off painting by UV??? Whenever I paint I believe it's using the UVs to drive this and I'm getting bad UV bleed. UV Radius doesn't do anything for this either.
Also… General stability of Houdini when grooming is pretty bad (16.0.557). Crashes very frequently. Any way I can optimize this on my end to help with stability?
Here's a video of the issues I'm taking about. Please let me know what I can do! Thank you.

Not currently. It's somewhere on a TODO list as it will require modifying the pick heuristics to better support larger search radii.
Good to know it's on the TODO list! Just starting out with Houdini coming from Maya and looking for similarities at a superficial level.
Thank you for the reply. You'll probably be getting a few posts from me as my learning progresses. Houdini Indie has been great so far and after I get a good foundation in it I'll be pitching a purchase of a commercial license to my employer.
Thanks again.

Is it possible to change the pre-selection highlight radius in H16? If so, where can this be changed (I'm looking to make it similar to Maya as that is where I'm coming from and newer to Houdini). I've uploaded an example video of Maya's pre-selection highlight.
Notice how it highlights the component closest to the cursor.
Thank you,
Clayton
