How would you poly-model a curve surface in Houdini?

For example, I'm trying to model this pauldron:



I started with a Curve node and placed some layout:



(I know it's not very accurate to the reference. I just eyeballed it).

But then I got stuck.

1. How could I make a poly surface out of these curves?

2. If it's not a good approach, how would you model something like this in Houdini?
