In many cases, we need to provide customers with correct animation rehearsals that include transparency relationships. However, in Houdini 21, there is an error in the display of transparency. Can this issue be fixed?

By default, the Houdini viewer only displays the frontmost transparent surface for performance reasons. You can get up to 8 layers if you change the Transparency Quality to High (Material tab of the display options).

I followed the steps you mentioned, but it didn't work

This appears to be a bug in the software

Sorry, Medium and High quality transparency is only available in Scene Light mode if you have lights in the scene (or if you turn on Ambient Occlusion). Only Low quality is available in Work Light mode. It's not ideal, and hopefully something we can address in the future.

You also have to actually have a scene light for it to work I believe.
