I have Houdini apprentice installed on a company laptop with security that won't allow
the license adminstrator to connect.

I am out of town with alot of free time that I would like to apply to learning more Houdini.
Is there any other way to download the license and install it.

I still have a problem in that the license administrator>file>manually enter
keys is greyed out.
There is no window opening after trying to open Houdini looking for a license.

most likely houdini license server process cannot write the licenses to the file (C:\Windows\keys\licenses or /usr/lib/sesi/licenses), and therefore the input fields are grayed out.

Try running the houdini licenses server (sesinetd process) with administrator privileges.

I was never able to use the license.Thankyou for the effort, it is greatly appreciated.
