I've just reinstalled Houdini 9.1HD After a format and whenever I try to install the license I see that the license Manager says that I have 0 of 0 licenses for 9.1HD. If I try to install the non-comercial license it just keeps telling me that there are no licenses available and ask if I want to install a non commercial license again
I've tried to return and redeem the license to no avail and I'm a bit reluctant to do it again as I've only gotten 1 more attempt to redeem my license so does anybody have any idea on what I can do to solve the problem.
It might have something to do with the fact that I installed & reinstalled 9.5 before reinstallling 9.1 thinking my 9.1 license entitled me to the upgrade.
Hi I've encountered a similar issue, I uninstalled 9.1HD as installing 9.5 was causing problems, I hadn't returned my 9.1 license before uninstalling(didn't know you could return license) and so know it seems I have an upgrade license but no original 9.1 license and therefore won't run in HD. I'm waiting to hear from tech support but I get the feeling I have no valid 9.1 license anymore.
Hello, I've just sent replies to your emails (to both of you). But for the benefit of other forum readers, I just wanted to mention that such issues stem from an invalid SERVER license key. The server key can become invalid when there is a change of the computer name or the server code (triggered by hardware upgrades).
Hallo, I have same problem transferring Apprentice-HD license from h9.1 to h9.5. I've tried to return the license to the server and license online, and tipping the license manually. Houdini 9.5 just won't use the HD license and is running on NonCommercial 9.5 Have tried by installing hserver and apprentice license server.
How do I transfer correctly the 9.1 license to h9.5 ?
You don't really transfer the HD license from 9.1 to 9.5, but rather you install a purchased upgrade. After you install Houdini 9.5 and after you buy the upgrade, you should be able to use the License Administrator (under File > Install Licenses) to install the license upgrades.
If you don't buy (or install) the upgrade, then when you run Houdini 9.5, it will automatically install free non-HD licenses and will run in the non-commercial mode.
