Hello,
I'm new to houdini but i'm very excited from this software.
I'm modelling a bladder in 3d for a medical friend using subdivision and everything went fine.
The object is a volume, is closed.
Now I have to generate the interior of it and I would like to section it with a cube (using boolean) to generate a sort of live section.
Is there a specific way to generate a sort of surface offset of a shape and also to get the thikness (the distance between the outer part and the inner one?)

Hope it's clear..

Depending on the shape, you can try the Peak tool. Also try using Clip to do a cut away.

Hi, thanks,
the tool you suggested might work in my case,
but how can i generate the cap between the outer and the inner surface clipped by the clip tool?

How about selecting edge loop around the opening and tab in a Cap node?
That's what i do when using polygons though. hehe
