Hi,

Today I opened Houdini for the first time, I want to start learning it; watch some tutorials …
But as soon as I opened it I encountered a problem : the gird / construction plane is not there, even though the “Display construction plane/ortho gird” button is on.
I tried to create a couple of primitive objects to see if I could see them; but no : there's just the gizmo points. (and I've got the “Shaded bounding box” option activated).

I search a bit for posts like that on the forum but it's quite huge and I didn't find any answer…

I know there's probably an option somewhere that I didn't see.

P.S.: I use the Houdini Master Version 12.0.572

I could be dead wrong, i'm a newbie. Try going to Edit->Preferences->3D Viewports
Try the different Scene Renderers and see if that fixes your issue.

Can you try with a later build - v12.0.572 is very old.

I took a look at the 3D Viewports options but found nothing there …

And I uninstalled the 12.0 version and installed the 12.5.316.22 instead … but I still got the same problem
