Problem with animating splines (new to houdini)

Hey guys, I'm totally new to Houdini (not 3D in general, just this software in particular) and I'm having a hard time setting keyframes and animating a spline. I have a plug-in the follows a spline, and I need to move vertices on the spline for the animation. I know this is probably the most “noobiest” of questions, but I'm stumped. Everything else accepts keyframes fine, is there something I'm missing? Can I link it to another object, like a sphere and animate the sphere, having the point follow accordingly? Thanks in advance.

Couldn't you put down a transform sop, set it to points, set it to group matching the point number of the vertex you want to animate, then go to town? I'm not near my machine, so I can't test it out.

Many ways to do this.

The easiest way to set this up is to use the Path Tool in the Object level view to draw your initial spline. Every point you add will add a null that a spline is fitted through.

This tool will place actual Object Nulls as individual objects and then a final object that fetches the nulls and computes the spline for you.

You can manipulate each objects position, rotation and scale handles to work just like bezier controls.
There's at least one school like the old school!
