some of you might have seen this on the odforce forums.
But i have had it on hold for a couple of weeks until H15 was released… which was just last night so i am looking forward to playing with all the new tools and features… in particular the skin shader / fur tools and character tools.
So to bring you up to speed on what i have so far, here it is.

I still kinda dont know what im doing. This is just the results of lots of tests.
the help is sparse, shallow scatter color = is the color of the shallow scatter . Would love an example file or even use it on the Pig test geoemetry as that still uses a Mantra surface general shader.
A lot more testing needs to be done though. Gonna be looking around a lot for reference/inspiration from other shader/render workflows namely arnold.
Here is a quick test i did with some hair. Gonna do a number of styles, im not as good as i want to be when working with hair, so Im hoping i can work out and understand hair styling/shading more.
Just testing some of the new features in H15.5. The main hairstyle was done in H (i have yet to replace the eyebrows and lashes).
Don't think i will be using a 3rd party for grooming anymore.
the only thing that way cumbersome was having to keep re-selecting geometry but only through clicking “Scripted Select”. So far i cannot find a way to hotkey it.
I am probably going to do a video on it and all the tools like my old H13 one. Just waiting for a small bug to clear and a very small RFE that would effect the process in a huge way.
