Recently I was involed in the discussion with a friend of mine, concerning the problem of licensing. It seems to me that every sample of HDK code, such as Star SOP.c for example, is somehow licensed. I am somewhat illiterate as far as the licencing and copyright law is concerned. So, could somebody from SESI clarify - under what license sample HDK codes are licensed, if licensed at all.

We've recently updated the license text in the HDK sample code to properly reflect the licensing. The HDK headers are proprietary to Side Effects Software, but the licensing for the provided sample code is as follows:
