Hello,

I've been building a digital asset tool for creating waveforms in different ways.

One way I am exploring is creating a series of waveforms with the animation editor and saving those waveforms with “Motion FX > Create Clip..” option.

Each clip is saved with a unique name in a channel node in a Chop I've labelled as “WaveForm Library”.

So in essence I create a collection of clips that I can use in my other Chop that I use to drive my end resulting parameters.

I use a Fetch node to get those original clips and through a series of other nodes like filter, envelop, cycle, math, trim etc. I create new and/or different versions of the original clips.

What I have found is that I can quickly create new clips this way that I might want to save as “original” clips themselves much more quickly than “messing” arround with the handles and value components like of the bezier curves in the animation editor.

The difficulty I am experiencing, and I have tried in all manners that I can think of, is to save those resulting “new” waveforms as a clip in the same manner like I did within the animation editor by using the “Motion FX > Create Clip..” option.

Without going into lengthy detail and making this post too long, I do have the option which I am going with at the moment, of using scipts to set “defaults” for the particular wave I want to “save”.

What I am looking for is a way to just save the “new” waveform as a clip and just import those clips with a fetch node and not have to run a script.

I was hoping that maybe I am missing something on how to do this and if anyone has any pointers it is much appreciated.

Thank you
