Hi Guys,

i get a bluescreen or mantra crashed when i simulate a bigger pyro simulation. That happend in different scenes and different frames. I read something about Ram Problems in Windows. But this Threads talking about Houdini 12-13.
I use Houdini 15.0.347 and Windows 7.
Is there any solution for this problem? It happend also if the Ram isnt full.

Can you verify the stability of your system and hard drive?

Overclocking can cause this kind result.
Also bad RAM or mismatched timing RAM chips might cause this.
A failing hard drive might cause this too.

Does your system meet the minimum hardware requirements to run Houdini?

Try running Prime95 [mersenne.org] for 2 hours straight. This is a free program to test the reliability of computer.

I bought a new hard drive and new ram .

I have 32gb ram
2T Hard Drive
AMD FX 8350

I tested my Ram for some Hours and everything was fine.
So i think my system is stable. It only happen when i work with Houdini and i simulate or rendering something.

Testing RAM might not prove your system is stable only testing under load, which Prime95 does, really determines if your system is stable, You mention an FX8350. Are you over clocking it?

Are you monitoring the heat of your CPU under load? When chips get too hot they fail and the system will crash or blue screen.

HWMonitor [cpuid.com], a free program, will allow you to monitor your CPU heat under load.
