Probably a super easy one this, but I am a total noob with Houdini!

I've been spending the day working through this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJly8FcrP8U#start=0:00;end=64:16;cycles=-1;autoreplay=false [youtube.com]

At about 25.35 he connects the velocity of the particles to the colour node. Mine remain blue though. I've been searching through the forum but can't find an answer. I've found that if I go in to display options and set the particles to display as points and bump up the size all the way I start to see the colours as an outline around the blue which suggests to me theres some kind of guide covering them up and obviously I need to turn a setting off somewhere.. I tried turning off the guide for source_first_input and same again on the instance guides in popobject but no luck.

It'd driving me nuts as I just wanna finish the tutorial, haha, any help would be really appreciated!

you have let the point display on , that's why …
the blue color is just your points…
