Today installed houdini 16.

First time running… was good. I saw openning popup windows and check.

and quit.

run again….(in second)

delay…(I don't know why)

Houdini icon click again

delay again…

check task manager

There are Two Houdini(15mbyte) listed.

so windows sign out.

windows sigin again.

run Houdini…

Error massage come out…

OpenGL fatal error : The installed OpenGL driver is not able to run OpenGL 3.3.
plaese Update the driver and check the minimum system requirements for Houdini (www.sidefx.com/sysreq)

My system is

Samsung notebook series 7 (2012)
CPU : Intel
GPU : intel HD 3000 / AMD radeon HD 7400M
RAM : 8G
OS : windows (14393)

Need help.

Is there a way for you to force that notebook to use the AMD GPU for Houdini?

I don't know yet. How to change from intel to ati… never think about it.

so… Is possible to use Houdini version 16.0

My notebook GPU is not support..Houdini support said from e-amil…

so I'm giving up for now…

But mystery is First time was normal after install success. ???

i am having exactly the same problem. same error message. i already gave up to use houdini.
houdini apert. was running one time after install. next time same
error message as above.

Butterfly001 i do not see on screen the solution you have figured out.
can you please tell me how you did it ?
i have tried to tell my radeon card to use houdini. does not help.
open gl is regarding to a check tool 6.4 …by the other hand the card driver
says 4.5

A fix that worked for me was to uninstall and reinstall your graphic card driver.

Whenever i build a geometry object, a window appears saying 5544: Fatal error: Segmentation fault
Saving application data to CUsers/ADMINI~1/AppData/Local/Temp/houdini_temp/crash.untitled.Administrator_5544.hipnc What should I do? And just a heads up, I only speak English.
